「In our Career-Life Classes, we designed a “road map of life”. It is a special kind of painting showing our experiences in the past few decades. At first, I made a sketch of the zigzagged shape of the road. Then, I made some changes to it in order to make the picture look more symmetric and appropriate. After that, I chose some of my most precious events in life and arranged them in chronicle order. As the criteria of this project suggests us that adding some extras such as legends to our map would possibly led to a higher score, I used different kinds of signs including stone carvings, mile stones, signposts as well as plant sprouts & trees to show different meanings of these life-influencing things.」

「During creating, I feel like that I put one of the six competencies into practice, and that one was called “creative thinking”. There’s a requirement in the criteria said that we shouldn’t leave blank spaces on our painting, as a result, I gave the background of my artwork an kind of super-realism vague and named it “The pillar of skies”. This including the road propped up on dozens of stone pillars, a island seemed to float in the middle air, with a delicate lighthouse and a waterfall. On the either of this paper, a colorful sailboat and a pale-white seagull came into sight.」

「What’s worth talking about, the biggest difference between my assignment and the others’ is I presumed what will probably happen in twenty year’s time in the future. Though this is certainly not a precise predict of my later life, I still hope getting a thorough preparation for all the obstacles and challenges yet to come is not a bad thing to do, especially when I still have plenty of time & energy pursuing my dreams.」
